Pump and metering skid packages
A pump skid package puts the pumps, metering equipment, pulsation dampeners, valves, piping, instruments and controls for a duty on one frame, so it arrives assembled and ready to connect. PCT supplies skid packages built around the pumps and metering lines it represents.

What goes on a pump skid?
A skid includes everything the pumping duty needs between the supply and the process connection. Contents depend on the application, but most skids combine the items below.
- Process or metering pumps, with redundant pumps where uptime matters
- Pulsation dampeners, pressure relief valves and back pressure valves
- Calibration columns, strainers and isolation valves
- Piping and fittings in materials matched to the chemical
- Pressure gauges, flow instruments and local or remote controls
- Containment and a frame sized for your floor space
Why use a skid instead of installing parts in the field?
A skid moves fabrication off your plant floor. The system is designed, assembled and checked as one package, which shortens installation, reduces field labor and gives you one point of contact for the whole system.
PCT has supplied custom packages around Pulsafeeder metering pumps and process systems for chemical service, including hydrogen peroxide and titanium dioxide applications (see process systems).
What does PCT need to quote a skid?
Send the duty for each pump (fluid, flow, pressure and temperature), the number of pumps and whether you need standby units, the materials or standards required, how the skid will be controlled, and any space limits.
Use the quote form or call 302-655-3490 to talk through the layout.
Frequently asked questions
What types of skids does PCT supply?
Chemical metering skids, process pump skids and custom systems built around the pumps PCT represents.
Can a skid include redundant pumps?
Yes. Many metering skids include a standby pump so dosing continues during maintenance.
Which pumps can go on a PCT skid?
Pulsafeeder and Pulsatron metering pumps, Teikoku canned motor pumps, gear pumps and other lines on the PCT line card.
Does PCT help with start up of a skid?
Yes. See field service and start up.
Do skids ship assembled?
Yes. Skids are assembled before shipping so installation is mainly connecting supply, discharge and power.
