Do I need flooring, a lining or a coating?
The answer depends on the surface and the exposure. Floors face chemicals, heat and traffic. Linings protect surfaces in immersion service, such as tanks and sumps. Coatings protect against atmospheric exposure, splash and spillage on steel, concrete and other surfaces. Each has its own selection checklist from RCC (Rema Corrosion Control).
- Flooring: chemical exposure, thermal shock, housekeeping, traffic and installation conditions.
- Lining: chemicals, normal and upset temperatures, substrate, tank history and physical abuse.
- Coating: chemicals, type of corrosion, substrate, surface preparation, application method and appearance.
What should I send before contacting RCC?
Complete our quote form with your answers to the relevant checklist before contacting RCC or another material supplier. That gives the manufacturer the information it needs to make an accurate and appropriate material recommendation, and it saves rounds of back and forth.
- Pick the checklist that matches your project.
- Gather chemical names and concentrations, temperatures, substrate and site details.
- Include anything that has failed before and why.
- Send it through our request a quote form.
